From New Arrival to Trusted Voice: How Dr Raidah is Helping Healthcare Families Settle into Perth, WA!
Moving to a new country comes with plenty of excitement — but also a long list of things to organise. Just last month, we had the pleasure of featuring Dr. Raidah as our second Instagram Guest Takeover where she shared honest insights about relocating to Perth as a healthcare professional and parent. Her story resonated strongly with our audience, sparking conversations around settling into WA, navigating the healthcare industry, and building a new life in Perth with confidence and local community support.
Raidah is a GP now working at a northern suburbs practice, who understands firsthand the journey of relocating to #Perth WA with a family. She and her husband, Dr Haroon — who secured a role as a Consultant Psychiatrist with East Metropolitan Health Service — relocated from the UK with their two children and settled into their new home in the western suburbs, earlier this year.
Their move to WA was facilitated through Cherry Medical Recruitment, a specialist medical recruitment agency that supports healthcare professionals relocating to Australia. Through their guidance and support, Raidah and her family were able to navigate the transition more smoothly while building both personal and professional foundations in Perth.
Our connection through Raidah has also led to a partnership with Cherry Medical Recruitment, allowing us to better support healthcare professionals arriving in WA. Together, we’re able to help new arrivals access trusted local support, personalised relocation guidance, and smoother introductions to life in Perth.
Since sharing her journey with our community, Raidah has become a valuable voice for healthcare families considering the move to Perth. Her practical advice, local insights, and relatable experiences have helped many people feel more informed, reassured, and excited about what life in WA can look like.
From the moment Raidah shared her relocation journey with our community, it was clear how much her story connected with others considering the move to Perth. Between balancing her healthcare career, settling her family into WA, and openly sharing the realities of relocation, she’s brought such a genuine and encouraging perspective to our audience.
That’s exactly why partnerships and community voices like Raidah’s matter so much to us. At Journee, we believe relocation support goes beyond logistics — it’s about helping people feel informed, supported, and connected before they even arrive.
We’re incredibly grateful to have had Raidah as one of our guest storytellers this year. Her insights, honesty, and practical advice created fantastic engagement across our social platforms, especially among healthcare professionals exploring opportunities in WA.
