It was nearly a year in the making: Dr Raidah & Dr Haroon's move from the UK to Perth!
Our first conversation with Dr Haroon was back in May 2025, and after a few delays pushed their ETA from October ‘25 to January ‘26, the family finally touched down in WA ready for their next chapter.
Before leaving the UK, Haroon secured a role as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Midland. Meanwhile, Raidah—a GP specialising in family health found a clinic where she could work part-time around school hours and achieve a better work-life balance than she had in the UK. Today, she's happily working four days a week at a practice in Perth's northern suburbs.
With a six-year-old starting school and a two-year-old in tow, finding the right suburb mattered just as much as finding the right home. The family wanted to be close to a great public school, have an easy commute into the city, and find the kind of community that would make a new country quickly feel like home.
With Journee's assistance, they found exactly that in Nedlands, a beautiful riverside suburb and a furnished home with high ceilings, charming timber floors, and a spacious private garden for the children to enjoy. It was the perfect fit for a family eager to settle in quickly and start making memories.
Now happily settled, the family has been embracing everything WA has to offer, from riverside walks to the fresh start they had been working towards for almost a year.

A young couple who made the move to Perth to kick off their new careers as police officers with the Western Australia Police Force!
Sam and Phoebe got the golden ticket - their permanent residency visa - quicker than they expected! So, this young couple wasted no time getting the ball rolling, reaching out to Journee at the beginning of 2026, arriving in May to start their new #WA life.
Both accepted into the WA Police Force, Samuel and Phoebe were after a modern 2-3 bedroom townhouse or apartment near the city, safe, and with a good vibe around, to suit their active, outdoor lifestyle — and all within a budget….
Easier said than done! By mid-April, the pair had faced viewing after viewing, missing out on some properties they really liked, as competition for their chosen pocket of Perth ramped up. But that's where Journee comes in. Using our market knowledge and industry contacts, we guided the young couple to alternate properties that ticked all the boxes, where we knew they would have a better success rate! By the first week of May, Samuel and Phoebe had secured their new home, beating out 15 other applications to become the chosen applicants!

Dr Sivapriya made the move from the UK to Perth mid-2026, taking on an exciting new role as a GP in Ellenbrook, WA.
Relocating ahead of her husband and son — who will join her at the end of the year — this move was the start of a brand-new chapter, swapping the UK for the sunshine, space, and laid-back lifestyle Western Australia is known for.
