Our First 2026 Guest Takeover: Meet Katie Morley!
This is exactly why we love doing our Relocation Hub Calls. It isn’t just about hearing your relocation plans – it’s about getting to know the people behind them. We like to think of ourselves as your BFFs on the other side of the move, your “professional friend” guiding you through the excitement, the overwhelm, and everything in between. And when we hopped on the call with Katie and Alex, we knew we were in for a truly special experience.
Katie is a powerhouse.
With a large social media following and strong connections within the expat community, she brings an energy and enthusiasm that’s completely infectious!
Alongside Alex, her talented plumber hubby, they’ve been planning their move to Perth for over 1.5 years – even though neither of them had ever visited Australia before.
Their relocation journee officially kicked off with us in September 2025, with an original ETA of December 1. Katie was clear about her priorities: she knew exactly what she wanted in a home – a spacious place near the beach, ideally in Jindalee or Alkimos in Perth’s northern corridor. And she wanted a home that would also be in the right catchment for their kids’ future school. Talk about clarity of vision!
Despite a slight visa delay, as soon as approval came through at the end of November, we jumped straight into action. Over the next few weeks, we were fully immersed in helping Katie and Alex find their dream home. With three properties already lined up in the pipeline (including two off markets!), strategies set, and viewings scheduled, it was a busy – but incredibly exciting – period!
✨ And then, the magic happened✨
A newly built home had been sourced by Melissa off market that ticked all the boxes: perfect space, the right suburb, walking distance to the beach AND school, and even an ocean view! Private viewing booked, videos taken and virtual viewing shared back with Katie and Alex. It was their pick of the bunch, they LOVED it! So their application was submitted… and then we waited.
It was an adrenaline-filled few days.

What a three-day whirlwind! Katie’s positivity and enthusiasm made the whole process such a joy – she’s the kind of client who makes our job feel effortless, even when the stakes are high.
From our very first Relocation Hub Call with Katie and Alex to seeing them approved on their dream home, it’s been such a joy to be a part of their journey, and honestly, that’s exactly why we do what we do. It’s about being that knowledgable friend on the other side of the globe, helping families feel supported, confident, and expertly guided into their new life in Perth.
